Biographie
Born from a Father Painter (National School of Arts in Algeria) and a Mother Fashion Designer, an Uncle Sculptor , friend of Paul Belmondo (Father of the movie actor), Dany Laure was brought up in a great happiness in the Arts under the sunshine of Algeria.Greatly influenced by Georges Barbier, precursor of the Art Deco who permits her to start her work of Art, her Mediterranean roots teared apart when leaving in 1961 Algeria.
After, attached to Provence, she settled in the South of France, first in Nice then in Cimiez where is located the Chagall Museum.
Perhaps, it is the aura memories which tings her work of art and is expressed in the choice of her colours palette.
Pastel is dominating in her landscape country-side at the beginning of the dream and sensitivity.
Her exhibitions in Nice, Cannes, Saint-Paul de Vence awarded her the Silver Medal at the Art "Grand Prix" at Cannes in 1970.
She obtained in 1971 the Portrait First Price at the Cannes Festival.
Two Art Critics spotted and introduced her Monte-Carlo at the international Show of the golden Palm of the Fine Arts where she is awarded the "Diploma of Honour".
1984, she settles in Paris where now she is well known by many wash drawings, pastels, sanguines amateurs.
1985, she opens her Gallery in the sixteen district of Paris - 01, rue Jouvenet - 75016 Paris, as well as her Frame Studio.
Besides her art works which decorates the walls of her Gallery, she exhibits her paintings in order to permit the discovery of her new talents.
1986, Dany Laure discovers the attractive South Morbihan subdivision of French Brittany, the enchanted Wild Cost made her to decide to use Quiberon as her home base, where she comes very often to paint, her imaginative mixed dreams and creativities.
